Post Construction

Post - Construction Anti-Termite Treatment

In this treatment, holes are drilled in the junction of floor and wall at ground level, soaking them with the Termiticide (Chloropyriphos 20% / Bifenthrin / Imidachloropid – Bayer India Ltd.). An undetectable chemical barrier is created around your property. Termites unknowingly forage through treated area, as a result of which the Termiticide/Chemical spreads quickly throughout their population thus causing quick eradication of termites.

Treatment Methodology & Stages

Treatment to wall and Floor Junction

Holes of 4-6 mm diameter 18-24 inches apart will be drilled along the inner junction of wall and floor at depth up to 6” on the entire ground premises. To create barrier against termites, the Termiticide solution will be injected in to these holes with great pressure. The same treatment will go on in case of heavy infestation on 1st/2nd or above floors.

Treatment to wooden fixtures

Holes of 3-5 mm diameter will be drilled at the base of wooden fixtures such as window frames and doorframes adjoining the flooring and Termiticide solution will be injected. Except basements and terrace, this treatment will be carried out on all floors. All the infested woodwork within the premises will be treated with an oil-based Termiticide. If any of the furniture is attached to the wall, special care will be taken as they are more prone to termite attack. Drilling will be done at the base of all such fixtures and Termiticide solution will be injected.

Treatment to termite tubes

To control the existing movement of termites, chemical will be first sprayed on the visible shelter mud tubes. Thereafter, the mud tubes will be removed and treatment will be given to the infested area.

Treatment along the external perimeter of the building

Trenching or drilling holes of 5-6 mm diameter wide & 18-24 inches apart along the external walls of the building at depth up to 8-10 inches will be carried out to create a chemical barrier around the building. All the drilled holes will be sealed. The holes will be drilled only along the column side at ground level, if the building is on stilt. Rodding will be done on every foot, adjacent to the external surfaces of the foundation wall up to a depth of 500 mm from the ground level, if there happens to be loose earth around the walls of the building. In case of the building surrounded by garden, the treatment shall be meted out to soil, which is in immediate contact with the building.

Warranty :

Depending upon the site, the warranty for Anti-Termite (Post Construction) treatment varies for 1-2 years. The warranty stands for whole property (i.e. Floor, Ceiling, P.O.P, Electric –Points, Wood Work, etc.). No extra charges would be taken in case of re-infestation of termites during the warranty period.

Check Up Visits:

Post initial major treatment, our technician will follow your case and visit your premises once in a year for a check up. In case of re-infestation, necessary treatment will be done. You are free to contact us anytime in case of reappearance of termites during the warranty period.
Pest Cure has always suggested to go for a precautionary treatment in order to eliminate Termite problem from the basic level itself.
At Pre-Construction site, treating the soil is Not Possible. As we are aware that WOOD is the only food termite searches/eats, we pay extra attention by treating the Wood with Environment Friendly Chemicals, which are highly lethal but safe for human beings at the same time. These Environment Friendly Chemicals become a part of the wood which does not allow termite to eat/destroy Wood.
This provides a major help in eliminating termites, as the source of food is finished. Once the cycle starts, rest of the colonies of termites move away.
